July 10, 2010.  Thank you for voting "Clearing Storm Sunrise" Public Favorite at the 2010 Alameda County Fair!  That is two years running for the ACF Public Favorite award.  All four of my images in the Alameda County Fair this year won awards!

June 21, 2010.  All four of my pieces juried into the California State Fair this year have won awards.  The four images are "Spira Mirabilis Staircase", "Solitude", "Black Hole Dunes", and "Clearing Storm Sunrise".  These images will be on display while the fair is open, July 14 - August 1.

June 15, 2010.  "Spira Mirabilis Staircase " and "Solitude" have both won Silver at the 2010 Alameda County Fair.  "Nature's Palette" was also awarded an Honorable Mention.  These images will be on display while the fair is open, June 23 - July 11.

May 20, 2010.  I'm very pleased to write that I just had four images juried into the California State Fair for exhibition this year.  With nearly 1300 fine art entries and less than 50 photographs juried into the show, I'm honored and grateful.  This year's photography judge is Kurt Edward Fishback, who grew up around Glen Fishback, Edward Weston, and Ansel Adams.  A humbling collection of photographers that helped define landscape photography.

April 17, 2010.  I will be judging the photography competition at the 2010 San Mateo County Fair.

March 20, 2010.  Images on display March 20 - May 21 in the "Through the Glass Eye" photography exhibit at Deer Ridge Vineyards in Livermore.

December, 2009.  I'm pleased to write that two of my panoramic images, "Clearing Winter Storm in Monument Valley" and "Spires at Sunrise", have been selected for publication in the 2010 Panobook.  A jury of professional photographers selected approximately 130 images for this book from more than 1000 submissions.

August 20, 2009.  Images on display through August 23 at the San Mateo County Fair, where I have just won several awards including Exhibitor of the Year, First Place Color Landscape for "Spires at Sunrise" and First Place Black and White Landscape for "Sunrise Over Mesa Arch".

July 20, 2009.  Thank you for voting "Window Of Light" Public Favorite at the 2009 Alameda County Fair!  The response to this image has been overwhelming.

July 16, 2009.  "Spires at Sunrise" has been accepted for entry and won an award at the California State Fair, and will be on display when the fair opens starting August 20.  This panorama was printed 33" wide with a final, framed display size of 44" x 22".  For comparison, "Clearing Winter Storm in Monument Valley" was on display at the state fair last year at a final framed size of 57" x 28".
